Dear Parents and Campers,

Welcome to Camp Gan Israel 5777! Be prepared for the most exciting camp experience yet! We would like to begin by expressing our gratitude in being able to operate from and utilize the beautiful Ackerberg Campus - Lubavitch House as our camp facility. We have access to five beautiful acres, shaded grounds, playgrounds, large playing fields, and an air-conditioned building for the hot and rainy days. The Dodge Nature Center is nearby, where wildlife roams amid scenic views, making it an ideal setting for camp. Just wait and see what new surprises are in store for our campers!

Camp begins promptly at  9:30 a.m. (To ensure your children's full enjoyment, we ask you to please come on time.) We will be leaving campgrounds for some of our trips at 10:30 a.m.  sharp! Please pick up promptly at  3:30 p.m. There will be an after care fee for all children left past 3:45 p.m.  On rainy days drop off and/or pick up will be indoors - please pick up your children from the dining room and sign them out with the head counselor.

  • Water bottle on a string
  • A lunch with at least 4 snacks
  • Swimsuit and towel
  • Mitzvah Notes for 5-7 year olds

To leave in camp:

  • A change of clothing for the 5-7 year olds
  • Tzedakah money - enough to last 6 weeks
  • Sun screen and bug repellent

We recommend that you apply  sunscreen and insect repellent on your children daily before coming to camp.

Please note that Hwy 110 will be under construction throughout the summer. The eastbound road is closed the end of July and the westbound road will be closed through August.
The best alternate route is to go north on Lexington Ave. (2nd intersection after Mendota Bridge) and make a right onto Marie Ave all the way to Lubavitch House.

Together we can make your child's camp experience one they will never forget.

Looking forward to a great summer,

Chaya Katz
